Internship Experience Scholarships

Scholarship opportunities are available through the Atlanta, New York and Washington Internship Experience programs. Each term the Internship Experience Program Office offers a limited number of $2000 need- and merit-based scholarships to help students fund their semester. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must have a current FAFSA on file with the University of Mississippi Financial Aid Office. Notification of scholarship awards will be made by email soon after the scholarship deadline.

Study USA Scholarships

Outreach Study USA Scholarship

Deadline: Coincides with program deadline
The Outreach Study USA Scholarship supports student participation in Study USA courses.  Scholarship awards range from $500 to $750 and are designed to help offset the additional expenses associated with academic travel. 

Students must meet these criteria to be considered for an Outreach Study USA Scholarship:

Have completed Study USA Scholarship application
Have submitted a personal statement
Be a degree-seeking University of Mississippi student
Be enrolled in a Study USA course
Demonstrate financial need as established by the UM Office of Financial Aid
Complete a Summer Aid Form through the UM Office of Financial Aid (for summer classes only)


Carolyn Ellis Staton Study USA Scholarship

Deadline: Coincides with program deadline
The Carolyn Ellis Staton Study USA Scholarship was established to increase access to unique experiential learning programs. These scholarships will help to make engaging educational travel opportunities more accessible to students with financial need. Scholarship awards range from $250 to $750 and are designed to help offset the additional expenses associated with academic travel. 

Students must meet these criteria to be considered for a Carolyn Ellis Staton Study USA Scholarship:

Have completed the Study USA Scholarship application
Have submitted a personal statement
Be a degree-seeking University of Mississippi student
Be enrolled in a Study USA course
Demonstrate financial need as established by the UM Office of Financial Aid
Complete the Summer Aid Form through the UM Office of Financial Aid (for summer classes only)
